Maximizing Resources
Some of my favorite problems in mathematics overall are when the solution is to maximize the efficiency of something. I find it very interesting when there is something that is working fairly good, but can be made better, and in what ways? Well let's take a scenario where we are trying to build roads between four points of interest. How can we build this infrastructure with the least amount of road distance possible?
Is this the most efficient way? Possibly not...
I think we can make this even more efficient.
The amount of roads used is as little as possible, and this is why I gravitate to mathematics so much. Problems like these are the most fascinating to how our world moves as a machine, and the answers to make our lives easier and more sustainable.
